The BIG DRAW workshop: DRAW TIL YOU DROP
Saturday 25th October
On Saturday 25th October The Parlour in association with Mapalim has held a one day drawing workshop titled 'Draw Til You Drop', as part of the BIG DRAW series of national events celebrating drawing.
The event has been a great success with nearly 40 participants of all ages joining us throughout the day and contributing towards a massive 3D drawing all over the gallery space. Paper has been stretched allover the walls and floor and multi-layered drawings, paintings and collages have sprung up throughout the day, creating an amazing colourful mosaic.
We would like to thank GO Partnership, Queens Crescent Community Centre and Rhyl Primary School for their great support in helping to organise the event and making it a success. Thank you to everyone who joined us on the day and we are hoping to see you very soon at one of our next events!
The project was supported by Camden Arts and Tourism.
Camden values and celebrates the diversity of its community.

Studios & Project Space
The studios consist of two large spaces. Studio 185 (28.56m2) offers an individual space for a creative organisation whilst Studio 187 (56.45m2) offers a more affordable rate for visual artists sharing with others.
The Parlour Gallery and Project Space is also available for Sessional Project Space Hire (41.52m2) at affordable rates for creative professionals. The Parlour is 45m2 white walled space with track lights, as well as lots of natural light. It can be used for drama, music, dance rehearsals as well as workshops, seminars and lectures. The aim of this is to encourage other creative practices to respond to the exhibition positively, possibly resulting in a cross fertilisation of ideas, interests and shared ambitions. There is an application procedure for Project Space Hire whereby all users are requested to become Parlour members.
Should you be interested in studio or project space hire, please contact the Artistic Coordinator and Curator Kasia Kwiatkowska at kasia.kwiatkowska@mapalim.com
